The Weedy-G story began in Gran Canaria in early 2022.

At the time, we discovered that it was possible for us to establish an association in Spain under the right conditions. What started as research quickly became something bigger — and because family has always been at the centre of our lives, it felt natural to build it together.

That was the beginning of The Weedy-G CSC.

But the collective we are today was not created overnight. It was shaped by time, experience, people, collaborations, mistakes, lessons and the decision to keep close only what felt real.

🌱 HOW THE NAME STARTED 

Before The Weedy-G existed, someone in our private circle jokingly called our founder “Weedy Gonzales” because his interest in the cannabis world seemed to have no limits.

Years later, when it was time to choose a name for the association, that old nickname suddenly came back.

Weedy Gonzales became The Weedy-G.

Sometimes the best names are not created in a meeting — they simply stay with you until the right moment arrives.

And to the private person who came up with it in the first place:
Thank you. You know who you are!

🔥 BUILT THROUGH EXPERIENCE 

In the beginning, almost everything and everyone around us became part of the journey. People. Clubs. Growers. Ideas. Collaborations. 

Some stayed with us. Some did not.

Time naturally showed us which relationships were real, which ideas worked and what direction actually felt right for our family and our association.

That process became part of The Weedy-G philosophy:
Private. Trusted. Quality.

We are not interested in hype. We value honesty, clean work, strong relationships and people who genuinely care about what they do.

🏠 FAMILY AT THE ROOTS 

The Weedy-G has always been deeply connected to our family. 

One of the most important people in that story was our grandmother. After suffering a stroke, she lost her ability to speak and required constant family care during the final years of her life. It was an extremely difficult period for everyone around her. Our family's personal experiences with cannabis during that time changed the way we looked at the plant. For us, it became connected not only with cannabis culture, but also with comfort, balance, togetherness and getting through difficult periods as a family. Different members of our family have also had their own personal experiences with cannabis and wellbeing over the years. Those experiences are part of the reason The Weedy-G became more than just an association or a hobby.

It became something deeply personal.

Our grandmother remains part of that story and part of the reason we continue building what we started.

🔨 BUILDING OUR OWN WAY 

From the beginning, our idea was simple:
If we want something genuinely good, sometimes we have to learn how to make it ourselves. Growing and edibles became the first major projects around The Weedy-G. From there, things developed naturally.

The Weedy-G CSC became the foundation.

Collaborations connected us with other private associations and people across Gran Canaria. The Weedy-G Growing became our pursuit of better cultivation and better quality. Stoned Estonian Chef developed around our family-made full-spectrum creations. The Weedy-G Rolling grew from rolling culture into a project that we are now working to make more structured and consistent. At the same time, art, workshop projects, and C.I.O.T.T came along, bringing another side of our lifestyle to the collective.

Different projects, but one direction.

🤝 COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION 

Some of our closest collaborations have been with us almost from the beginning. Others developed over the last few years, and new relationships continue to form today.

We now work closely with more than 20 private associations and collaborators. 

For us, collaboration has always made more sense than trying to compete with everyone around us.

And sometimes competition found us anyway.

In 2023, our gummies entered the Dogo Cup almost unexpectedly. We originally attended as visitors, but the organisers encouraged us to participate.

We finished 5th place.

In 2025, we had already decided not to compete at Volcanna Lanzarote. But when one of our collaboration partners travelled to the event and samples could be submitted together, we decided: why not?

Our Gummies finished 3rd in the Edibles category.

Neither result came from chasing trophies.

That probably makes them mean even more to us.

❌ NOT BUILT FOR HYPE 

We are not trying to become the loudest name in the room. We are not interested in pretending everything is perfect and we are not building The Weedy-G around hype.

We want to create things we are proud to use ourselves, work with people we trust and keep improving the quality of everything connected to our name.

For us, good things are not always easy to find.

• So we grow.

• We create.

• We experiment.

• We learn.

And we make our own.
